The Congressional Leadership Fund is withdrawing financial support from the reelection campaign of Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks of Iowa, according to the Washington Examiner, days after House Speaker Mike Johnson campaigned with her ahead of Election Day.

The Examiner reported that the super PAC affiliated with House Republicans was shifting money away from Miller-Meeks four days after Johnson endorsed her. It said the group expected to pull back $10 million from races in New Jersey, Iowa, Michigan and Ohio, though the excerpt did not specify Miller-Meeks's share of that amount.

The move comes as some Republican House incumbents are facing more competitive contests than expected, Axios reported. Axios said Democrats were targeting districts that had not initially been priorities, including seats held by John McGuire of Virginia and Lauren Boebert of Colorado.
