Pure Report

Independent news intelligence. We rewrite news without manipulation, track narratives across outlets, and surface patterns of coordination.

What we do

Most news arrives wrapped in spin. We strip the spin. For every article we ingest, we publish a neutral rewrite alongside the original so you can compare them side by side. Loaded adjectives, manufactured urgency, unattributed speculation — all flagged and removed.

We also study the system. Our analytical engine tracks which outlets publish the same story within minutes of each other, which share verbatim phrases and quotes, and where media sentiment diverges from measurable reality.

How it works

1. Ingest

We monitor a broad set of news APIs and wire-service feeds across politics, business, world, technology, science, and culture. Every article is stored with full provenance.

2. Analyze

Each article is scored for bias, inflammatory language, and sentiment. We extract entities, attribution patterns, and promotional content markers before the rewrite step.

3. Rewrite

Articles are rewritten by a language model under a strict debiasing prompt: lead with facts, attribute every claim, remove loaded adjectives, eliminate manufactured urgency. Original text remains accessible for comparison.

4. Detect patterns

Across the corpus we run three detectors: similarity fingerprinting (which outlets copy each other), temporal clustering (which outlets publish in lockstep), and sentiment-reality divergence (where coverage and outcomes disagree).

Editorial standards

Our rewrites are derivative works generated by a language model. They are not perfect. Where the model omits or distorts a fact, we issue a correction, attach it to the article, and surface it in our daily transparency log. We do not generate news from nothing — every article links to its original source.
