President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced an Anduril Industries project to produce components for Navy Virginia-class submarines at Sparrows Point in the Baltimore area. The Navy awarded the defense technology company a contract worth up to $2.9 billion for submarine components.
Anduril said it would invest $3.7 billion in the shipyard, called Arsenal-2. The Daily Beast put the shipyard construction figure at $3.3 billion.
