Man dies after fleeing immigration officials in Florida

A 28-year-old man died on Tuesday morning in Florida during an encounter with federal immigration officials, according to a spokesperson for the state highway patrol. This incident marks the third death related to immigration enforcement operations within a week. Officials from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), part of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), encountered four men in a vehicle at a convenience store parking lot in St. Augustine. As the men attempted to flee, one ran onto a busy road and was struck by a semi-truck, resulting in his death at the scene.
