Pregnant Pennsylvania woman and her children among nine killed in shooting incident

A pregnant woman from Pennsylvania was killed along with her three children in a shooting incident that left nine people dead, including the gunman. The incident occurred on Friday at approximately 5 p.m. at a residence on the 700 block of Perry Road in Erie, Pennsylvania. The deceased include Angelina Stone, her 5-year-old son Isiah, her daughter Amari’anna, and her unborn child Kyrie. Family friend Lisa Simmers stated that Stone was expecting to give birth on October 14. Reports indicate that the gunman, whose identity has not been disclosed by police, is believed to be Stone's father, who allegedly committed a murder-suicide. Aaliyah Williams, the aunt of Stone’s daughter, confirmed this in a GoFundMe post. Police responded to the scene after receiving alerts from the city’s ShotsSpotter system. Upon arrival, they found two women, aged 37 and 51, outside the home suffering from gunshot wounds. The gunman barricaded himself inside, leading to a standoff with police. Officers eventually entered the home and discovered the bodies of Isiah, Amari’anna, and a 10-month-old girl on the first floor, while Stone was found on the second floor alongside two other men and a 44-year-old woman. Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah described the scene as horrific and indicated that mental health issues may have played a role in the incident, although a motive has not been established.
