<p class="wp-block-paragraph">MAGA Inc. expanded its campaign spending on races in Republican stronghold states on Monday, deploying Vice President JD Vance to Kansas to support Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS).</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Marshall’s reelection campaign against Democratic nominee Adam Hamilton is considered likely Republican by the Cook Political Report. However, it faced challenges last week following a New York Times report detailing that Marshall’s former OB-GYN practice sued over 700 patients for unpaid bills, leading to the arrest of 81 individuals. This situation has drawn criticism from Democrats regarding Republican healthcare policies, including cuts to Medicaid.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Vance addressed the controversy during a rally in Olathe, Kansas, marking his second public MAGA Inc. rally in two weeks, excluding a recent Republican midterm convention.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“In Doc Marshall, you have a man who devoted his life to delivering babies and ensuring that moms and children from every walk of life were safe and had the healthcare they need,” he stated at Webco Manufacturing. “So I ask you this November to stand for a man who stood for moms and babies, to stand for a man who stood for all Kansas. Let’s stand for Doc Marshall and send the crazy people packing, ladies and gentlemen. Elect Roger Marshall to the U.S. Senate.”</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Vance also addressed a protester’s interruption during the rally, defending Marshall, who was first elected to the House in 2016 before running for the Senate in 2020.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“He decided to come in and lie about my very dear friend Doc Marshall,” Vance said. “The reality is that Doc Marshall has stood up for everyday Americans every single day.”</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A MAGA Inc. spokesman dismissed claims that the rally was organized in response to the New York Times story, questioning whether a rally could be set up in less than a week.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The MAGA Inc. rally follows the super PAC's announcement last week of a $10 million spending plan for Texas Republican Senate nominee Ken Paxton’s race against Democratic nominee James Talarico.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Polling aggregator RealClearPolitics indicates that Paxton and Talarico are in a statistical tie, although President Donald Trump won Texas by 14 percentage points over then-Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Marshall currently holds a 5-percentage-point lead over Hamilton according to a public poll published last week. Despite Kansas having a Democratic governor, Trump won the state by 16.5 points in 2024.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Vance provided personal testimony for Marshall during the rally, having served with him in the Senate from 2023 until he became vice president in 2025.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“As amazing as he is in public, in private, Roger Marshall is just as good a senator and just as good of a man,” Vance said. “He is the guy who tells the lobbyists, ‘I don’t fight for you. I don’t work for you. I work for the people in this room.’ And he means it every single day.”</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Marshall faced criticism during a recent debate at the Kansas State Fair, where he defended his support of Trump, particularly regarding tariffs, the war in Iran, and funding decreases to healthcare and food assistance through the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“My opponent is too woke, he’s too weak, and he doesn’t stand for anything,” Marshall stated during the event.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">MAGA Inc. had raised concerns among Republicans regarding its delay in utilizing some of the $400 million cash on hand it had at the end of July for the upcoming midterm elections, until it spent $828,000 on Senator Darline Graham Nordone’s (R-SC) special election primary runoff last month.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Shortly after MAGA Inc. made its first ad buy of the election cycle this month with a Trump-centric spot through its nonprofit organization Securing American Greatness, the super PAC announced its spending plans for Texas.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On the same day as the Texas spending announcement, a new group, No Going Back PAC Inc., was reported to spend $49 million on ads for seven races, including $15 million in Michigan, $11 million in Ohio, $10 million in New Hampshire, and $4 million in Maine, among other Senate and House contests.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Vance’s first public MAGA Inc. rally was for Michigan Republican Senate nominee Mike Rogers, who is also in a statistical tie with Democratic nominee Abdul el Sayed, earlier this month.</p>
