Milo Yiannopoulos Deported to the UK After Immigration Violations

Milo Yiannopoulos, a social media personality known for his far-right views, has been deported to the United Kingdom after being detained by immigration agents at an airport in New Orleans. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed Yiannopoulos's removal on Saturday, stating that he had overstayed his visa. Yiannopoulos was apprehended by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) while traveling through Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport on Thursday. He initially entered the U.S. through New York City in May 2019 and missed an immigration hearing earlier this year, leading to a judge's final order for his removal on July 22. The DHS encouraged noncitizens who have overstayed their visas to self-deport, stating, "We encourage every person here illegally to take advantage of this offer and reserve the chance to come back to the U.S. the right legal way to live the American dream." Yiannopoulos has not publicly commented on his deportation. He has previously supported former President Donald Trump's immigration policies. Laura Loomer, a far-right activist, celebrated Yiannopoulos's deportation and has called for the deportation of other individuals, including U.S. citizen Hasan Piker.
