<p>Milo Yiannopoulos, a political commentator from the United Kingdom, was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and is expected to face deportation, according to the <em>Washington Examiner</em>.</p>
<p>Yiannopoulos was taken into custody at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in Kenner, Louisiana, on Thursday, as confirmed by a spokesperson from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).</p>
<p>He entered the United States on May 14, 2019, on a visa, which has since expired, rendering him an illegal immigrant. Yiannopoulos failed to attend a scheduled immigration hearing, leading an immigration judge to issue a final order of removal on July 22.</p>

<p>Yiannopoulos, 41, gained notoriety as an internet provocateur and served as an editor at the right-leaning news outlet <em>Breitbart</em>. He was a notable figure in the alt-right movement during the second term of the Obama administration.</p>
<p>The DHS spokesperson stated that individuals who do not wish to be arrested and deported should consider self-deportation. They noted, “Being in detention is a choice. We encourage all illegal aliens to take control of their departure with the CBP Home App.” The spokesperson also mentioned that the U.S. is offering illegal immigrants $3,000 and a free flight to self-deport, urging those in the country illegally to take advantage of this opportunity.</p>
