President Donald Trump hosted Bill Maher, Stephen A. Smith and Kid Rock for dinner at the White House on Thursday night, according to Fox News. Smith said the gathering lasted more than four hours.
Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, disclosed the dinner during a Friday appearance on “Fox & Friends,” calling it “epic,” Fox News reported. He said the four men agreed that socialism and communism should not gain a foothold in government. Smith told CNN’s Laura Coates on Friday that he had not expected the meeting to last as long as it did.
The Hill described Maher as left-leaning and Kid Rock as conservative. The Daily Beast reported that the dinner came weeks after Trump criticized Maher in a Truth Social post.
