Katy Padilla Stout, the Democratic nominee for Texas’ 23rd Congressional District, reported $4,338.14 in campaign expenditures for purchases including cookies, food, beer and wine, according to federal election records cited by several outlets.

Fox News reported the total covered five transactions in March and April, including purchases at a Mexican restaurant and a liquor retailer. The Washington Examiner said the campaign’s reported spending exceeded $4,300 and included Total Wine, Las Guitarras Cocina Mexicana and cookies. Fox News said the expenditures received renewed attention after a debate in which Stout apologized for a remark concerning her Republican opponent and Nazis.
