RJ Mitte, who played Walter White Jr. in the television series “Breaking Bad,” died Monday in Brownsville, Texas, at age 34, his representative said. No immediate cause of death was provided in reports by the BBC and Deutsche Welle.
Mitte lived with cerebral palsy and drew on that experience for the role of Walter “Flynn” White Jr., according to his representative. The representative described him as an actor, philanthropist and disability-rights advocate. Mitte also served as an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s, the reports said.
The Daily Wire reported, citing TMZ and a county official, that Mitte died by suicide and that an investigation was ongoing. The other reports did not provide circumstances of his death. Mitte also appeared in “Switched at Birth” and “Guardians of Justice,” Deutsche Welle reported.
