Flash floods along Nepal's Budhi Gandaki River swept away homes and bridges in the central Gorkha district on Sunday, with five people reported missing and residents fleeing to higher ground.
Authorities said the flooding also damaged part of a hydropower station. The BBC reported that 95 people, including nine foreigners, were rescued along the riverbank, citing the army. The New York Post reported that more than 80 people were pulled from the currents and that six others were rescued in Jagat, citing a social media post by Prime Minister Balendra Shah.
No casualties had been reported, according to the BBC. Video footage showed floodwaters carrying away a building complex and a bridge as Nepal remained on high alert following earlier flooding.
