Her symptoms included heavy bleeding, severe pain, and other debilitating effects, prompting her to advocate for herself more vigorously after a traumatic miscarriage. After researching her symptoms, she suspected endometriosis and completed an online symptom checker, which was dismissed by her general practitioner.
In 2025, after struggling to conceive, she was referred for further evaluation, leading to a laparoscopy in July 2026 that confirmed extensive endometriosis and adenomyosis. Williams expressed relief at finally receiving a diagnosis, stating that the surgeon validated her experiences. She now experiences significant pain during her menstrual cycles and is concerned about the impact of her untreated condition on her fertility. Williams encourages other women to persist in seeking medical attention when they feel something is wrong with their bodies.
