BBC Lawyers Blocked from Serving Court Papers to Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner

This incident is part of a defamation lawsuit involving President Trump's family and the BBC, which is seeking to include Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Kushner in the case. The BBC's lawyers argue that the three have relevant information regarding Trump's intentions during his January 6, 2021, speech at the Ellipse. The lawsuit claims that a BBC documentary misrepresented Trump's speech, leading to defamation. Although the BBC has apologized for editing the speech, it maintains that this does not constitute defamation. Previous attempts to serve subpoenas to the Trump family have been unsuccessful, and the BBC is now requesting a federal court in Miami to allow service by mail or to consider serving Trump's attorneys as sufficient.
