FBI and Texas authorities arrest 276 suspected child predators and rescue 89 children

A joint operation between the FBI and Texas authorities resulted in the arrest of 276 individuals suspected of child exploitation and the rescue of 89 children. This operation, named Operation Soteria Shield, is part of a larger initiative called Operation Iron Pursuit, which aims to combat online sexual exploitation and trafficking of children in North Texas. FBI Director Kash Patel stated that the agency is intensifying efforts to dismantle child predator networks. The operation took place over March and April and involved 91 law enforcement agencies across Texas. Dallas Police Department Chief Daniel Comeaux emphasized the importance of protecting children from exploitation. Patel noted that since last year, the FBI has located over 6,940 child victims, an increase of 144%, and arrested nearly 3,000 child predators, a 70% increase.
