Family of bikini designer files $50 million lawsuit following yacht death

The family of Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra, a bikini designer found dead on a yacht in Montauk last summer, has filed a $50 million wrongful death lawsuit alleging assault. Attorney Michael Bowe, representing the family, stated that Nolan-O’Slatarra was assaulted before her death. She was discovered aboard a luxury yacht on August 5, 2025, with injuries that included blood found in her mouth and on her body. The lawsuit names Christopher Durnan as the defendant, accusing him of gross negligence and reckless conduct that allegedly caused her injuries and death. The family is seeking damages for wrongful death, personal injuries, and suffering, along with punitive damages and legal costs. Durnan has not responded to the allegations, and the family's investigation includes a second autopsy. The case is ongoing, and autopsy results have not yet been released.
