New Jersey's former administration allocated around $30 million for semiquincentennial initiatives, including $25 million for the restoration of key Revolutionary War historic sites. Virginia has appropriated $27 million for its VA250 commission and raised an additional $6 million in private support.
Massachusetts has devoted $6 million to support events and programming, while South Carolina has appropriated about $24.5 million for its commemorative efforts, including grants to local communities. New York has set aside $5 million for festivities and received federal funding to enhance Revolutionary War sites.
