Brooks Koepka expressed disappointment in his performance during his first year back on the PGA Tour after finishing the Wyndham Championship on Sunday. He shot a final round of 70, finishing the tournament at 3-under and placing T67, 19 strokes behind the winner, Michael Brennan. Koepka, who returned to the PGA Tour after leaving LIV Golf, ended the season ranked 94th in the FedExCup standings, missing the cut for the St. Jude Championship, which features the top 70 players.
In a post-round interview, Koepka stated, "I think it’s pretty pathetic that I can’t get through," referring to his lack of top 10 finishes in the past two years. He noted that he missed out on an estimated $85 million in potential earnings and was limited in the events he could participate in. Despite these setbacks, he made 11 cuts in 16 starts, with his best finish being T9 at the Cognizant Classic in March.
Koepka acknowledged enjoying his time back on the PGA Tour, stating, "It’s been great... Overall, happiness is 10 out of 10 and just excited." He plans to continue playing, including participating in DP World Tour events in Europe, and aims to improve his putting as he prepares for the upcoming season.
