Lauren Boebert Responds to Trump's Criticism

Representative Lauren Boebert (R-CO) responded to President Donald Trump’s recent criticism by attributing it to the nature of Washington, D.C. Boebert had previously supported Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY), which led to Trump's remarks suggesting he would welcome a primary challenger against her. In an interview on 'Next with Kyle Clark,' Boebert stated, "I’m still going to continue to support him and the promises he and I have both made on campaign trails to ensure that we keep those promises." She added, "I don’t see it as abuse, I think it’s part of the D.C. nature. Nothing happens in D.C. without force." The deadline for filing to run in Colorado’s June 30 congressional primary has passed, and Boebert is currently running for reelection unopposed. Trump had posted on Truth Social asking if anyone was interested in challenging Boebert in the upcoming election. Trump's previous endorsements of primary challengers to Senators Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and John Cornyn (R-TX) resulted in their losses in re-nomination.
