UFC Flyweight Allan Nascimento Dies at Age 34

UFC flyweight Allan Nascimento died at the age of 34 after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep, as announced by the UFC on Monday. Emergency crews found him unresponsive and performed CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The UFC expressed condolences to Nascimento's family, friends, teammates, and loved ones. Nascimento's last fight was a decision loss at a UFC Fight Night event in June. He began his MMA career in Brazil in 2011, achieving a record of 17-4 before debuting in the UFC on Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Although he lost his initial fight on the Contender Series, he secured a UFC contract in 2021. Throughout his UFC career, he achieved victories over several opponents and earned two Performance of the Night bonuses. Nascimento, known as "Puro Osso," had a professional record of 22-7 and a UFC record of 4-2. Medical experts have noted an increase in heart attacks among younger individuals in recent years.
