President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit California on Tuesday to discuss his administration’s economic policies and criticize the state's Democratic leadership, as stated by the White House. White House spokeswoman Olivia Wales indicated that Trump will contrast his agenda with the policies of California Governor Gavin Newsom, who has faced criticism from the Trump administration regarding financial and tax matters related to his wife. Newsom has denied any wrongdoing and has accused the Department of Justice of politically motivated investigations.
Trump's previous visit to California included a tour of wildfire damage in the Los Angeles area, where he signed an executive order to expedite recovery efforts. The relationship between Trump and Newsom has deteriorated since then, with ongoing disputes over issues such as the California High-Speed Rail project and the Sable Offshore Corp. oil pipeline project.
During his visit, Trump will participate in a Republican National Committee dinner at Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles and will travel to Nevada on Wednesday to speak about the economy at the Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa in Las Vegas.
