Man Arrested for Alleged Assault on Children Aboard Carnival Cruise Ship

David Lawrence Crosby II, 44, from Surrency, Georgia, was arrested on July 27 on two counts of child abuse after allegedly attacking two children aboard the Carnival Glory cruise ship. The incident occurred on July 26 while the ship was en route to the Bahamas from Port Canaveral, Florida. According to a probable cause affidavit, Crosby reportedly struck one child in the face, resulting in a bloody lip, and hit another child in the stomach. The incident was recorded by the ship's security cameras. Crosby informed law enforcement that he was 'heavily intoxicated' and could not recall the events. Carnival Cruise Line stated that their security team responded immediately, confined Crosby to his cabin for the remainder of the trip, and reported the incident to local authorities upon arrival. Crosby was released from jail on August 1 after posting a $20,000 bond and pleaded not guilty during his court appearance. He is scheduled for arraignment on August 25.
