Two fatalities and several injuries reported in Seattle Center shooting

Two individuals were killed and several others were injured in a shooting incident at the Seattle Center on Sunday, according to police reports. Emergency services arrived at the scene shortly after 6 p.m. during the Bite of Seattle food festival. The Seattle Fire Department confirmed that two people were pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts. Three additional victims, including a 2-year-old boy, were transported to a hospital in stable condition, while another victim was reported to be in serious condition. A fifth individual with minor injuries declined hospitalization. Police have not yet confirmed if any suspects have been apprehended. Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene with people fleeing for safety. Following the incident, Harborview Medical Center was placed on lockdown, and the Seattle Center Monorail was closed for the remainder of the evening.
