Tom Homan Uncertain on Status of ICE Shooting Investigations

When asked about the status of the officers involved, Homan stated, "I don’t know specifically," and mentioned that it is policy for officers to be placed on administrative leave during investigations. He deferred questions to the acting ICE director, David Venturella, and acknowledged that he had not tracked the cases closely. Salgado Araujo was shot on July 7 while not being the target of an ICE operation, and Guerrero was killed on July 13 in front of his daughter. Homan admitted to CBS News that he had not seen footage of the incidents, which raised questions about the use of emergency lights by the agents involved.
