Five police officers injured in boat crash near Westminster Bridge

Five police officers were injured after a police boat collided with Westminster Bridge in London on Friday afternoon at approximately 3:45 p.m. The incident caused some officers to fall into the River Thames. All injured officers were recovered, and there were no reported fatalities. A Metropolitan Police update stated, "We understand five officers were injured and are receiving treatment. We await an update on the extent of their injuries." The police reported that no members of the public were involved or injured. Emergency responders, including a police helicopter and air ambulance, arrived at the scene, where injured officers were treated by paramedics. A police boat was later seen being towed by a fire service boat. Witnesses reported that two boats were traveling quickly before the crash occurred, with one witness stating that three officers fell into the water. The officers were reportedly in the water for about 10 minutes before receiving assistance.
