Trainor, who worked on the show for over a decade, acknowledged his departure in a more serious tone, thanking Howard Stern and expressing excitement for new opportunities.
Howard Stern, who has been on the air for five decades and has been with SiriusXM since 2006, is reportedly planning to reduce his airtime to one episode per week as the summer concludes. In December 2025, Stern announced an extension of his contract with SiriusXM for an additional three years, stating his desire to balance more free time with his radio career.
