I’m in," and emphasized her commitment to serving the people of South Carolina. She was recently appointed to her brother's Senate seat after his passing on July 11 due to a medical condition. The special primary election is scheduled for August 11, with the filing deadline set for July 28. Other Republican candidates include Reps. Russell Fry and Ralph Norman, as well as businessman Mark Lynch. Democrat Annie Andrews is expected to be her opponent in the November election.
