President Donald Trump has commented on the circumstances surrounding the death of Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who passed away at the age of 71 on Saturday night, shortly after returning from a trip to Ukraine. The Washington, D.C. Medical Examiner's office reported that Graham died from an aortic dissection due to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease, according to his office.
Some supporters of Trump have raised questions about the timing of Graham's death, with conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer suggesting he may have been poisoned. Republican Senator John Cornyn also expressed the need for toxicology reports to rule out foul play.
During a call to NewsMax’s Greg Kelly Reports, Trump discussed Graham's health, noting that he had advised Graham to address his health issues. Trump mentioned that Graham had significant arterial blockage and referred to a family history of heart complications. He stated, "I think he had some problems that were a little bit deep-seated and not easy to find."
Senator Tommy Tuberville revealed that Graham had called his scheduler to report chest pains shortly before his death, indicating he had not yet contacted emergency services. Tuberville praised Graham's dedication to his work, stating that he often worked tirelessly for his country.
The Daily Beast has reached out to Graham's office for further comment.
