Trump Comments on Iran's Negotiation Status and Military Capability

During a Cabinet meeting, Trump indicated that Iran is eager to reach an agreement but has not yet done so. He mentioned that the Iranian military capabilities have diminished significantly, stating, 'their navy is gone. Their air force is gone.' Trump also remarked on the state of Iran's economy, describing it as being in decline with high inflation. He referenced a partial restoration of internet access in Iran after a blackout. Trump emphasized that Iran should not obtain a nuclear weapon, asserting that efforts are being made to prevent this. Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed that diplomacy remains the preferred method for resolving issues with Iran, while Secretary of War Pete Hegseth indicated readiness to take further action if necessary.
