Spencer Pratt files complaint against LA Mayor Karen Bass for alleged election law violation

<p>Spencer Pratt has filed a formal complaint against Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, alleging that she violated election laws by campaigning too close to a ballot box. Pratt, who is running for mayor as an Independent, stated on X that Bass filmed herself campaigning near the ballot box, which he claims is against the law.</p><p>Pratt emphasized that electioneering within 100 feet of a ballot box is prohibited under state law. He expressed concern that such actions demonstrate a disregard for the rule of law and democratic processes.</p><p>In response, a spokesperson for Bass, Alex Stack, stated that Pratt's claims are false, noting that the video in question was filmed at two locations, one of which was over 200 feet away from the ballot box. Stack asserted that Bass and her campaign follow the rules.</p><p>Pratt's attorney, Peter McNulty, called for an investigation into Bass for what he termed "illegal electioneering," arguing that such actions could intimidate voters and improperly influence the election.</p><p>Fox News Digital has reached out to Pratt for further comment.</p>
