U.S. Envoys Travel to Switzerland for Iran Nuclear Deal Talks

White House envoy Steve Witkoff is traveling to Switzerland for the first round of discussions regarding a potential nuclear deal with Iran, according to a U.S. official. Jared Kushner, another envoy, is already in Switzerland. The talks were initially scheduled to begin on Friday but were postponed due to ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon. It remains unclear if a new date for the discussions has been established. Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Abdul Rahman al-Thani, a key mediator between the U.S. and Iran, arrived in Switzerland earlier on Friday. Vice President Vance was expected to lead the U.S. delegation but postponed his trip on Thursday night, and it is uncertain if he will travel this weekend.
