<p>Texas state Senator Angela Paxton did not endorse her estranged husband, Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), during her recent endorsements for the state’s GOP runoffs on Tuesday.</p>
<p>In an email, Angela Paxton encouraged her supporters to vote for state Senator Mayes Middleton for attorney general, Jim Wright for Texas railroad commissioner, and Thomas Smith for the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, as reported by Current Revolt.</p>
<p>Notably, she did not mention the Senate GOP runoff between Ken Paxton and incumbent Senator John Cornyn (R-TX). Ken Paxton received an endorsement from former President Donald Trump last week.</p>
<p>Angela Paxton and Ken Paxton have been married since 1986. In 2025, Angela Paxton announced her intention to file for divorce.</p>
<p>Angela Paxton stated on X, "Today, after 38 years of marriage, I filed for divorce on biblical grounds. I believe marriage is a sacred covenant and I have earnestly pursued reconciliation. But in light of recent discoveries, I do not believe that it honors God or is loving to myself, my children, or Ken to remain in the marriage."</p>
