A legal expert suggested that Cooper's public apology could complicate his legal defense if the case proceeds to trial. The incident reportedly stemmed from an argument between Cooper and his girlfriend over cheating allegations, which escalated to physical contact. However, the responding officer determined there was no probable cause for harassment or assault charges based on conflicting statements and lack of evidence.
