DoJ Lawyer Claims Courts Cannot Block Trump's White House Ballroom Construction

A Department of Justice lawyer stated that no court has the authority to halt the construction of Donald Trump's White House ballroom and a secure underground facility, asserting that only the US Congress can stop the project. The Trump administration has appealed to the Washington DC Circuit Court to reverse a lower court's decision that blocked the $400 million ballroom construction at the site of the demolished East Wing. Meanwhile, construction of an underground bunker for staff has been permitted to continue as the dispute between Washington DC preservationists and the White House remains unresolved.
