In a rare NFL matchup, the Denver Broncos will host the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, both teams wearing colored jerseys instead of the traditional white. This event marks the sixth time the Broncos will wear their Orange Crush throwback uniforms since their return in 2024, during which the team has achieved a 5-0 record in these jerseys. The Seahawks will wear their royal blue throwbacks with silver helmets, a design reminiscent of the 1990s, which they previously wore in three games last season. The Seahawks are scheduled to wear these uniforms again in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs, although that game will not feature a color-versus-color matchup as Kansas City will wear white. The NFL previously embraced color-versus-color matchups during the 2015-18 Color Rush era, but this will be only the fourth such game since 2021 without Color Rush uniforms. The last similar matchup occurred in Week 15 of the 2025 season between the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Broncos enter this game with a 3-2 record following a 23-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, while the Seahawks lost to the San Francisco 49ers 32-29 last Sunday.
