Family's Florida vacation affected by inappropriate item found in hotel room

A California family reported a negative experience during their vacation in Central Florida after a 3-year-old girl discovered a sex toy in their hotel room at Holiday Inn Club Vacations’ Orange Lake Resort in Kissimmee. Mike Gross, the father, stated that the family had booked a four-day stay based on positive reviews. On the second night, Gross's daughter found the item in a drawer and presented it to him. He expressed concern over the discovery and immediately cleaned both his daughter's and his own hands. After putting their children to bed, Gross and his wife searched the room for additional items. He contacted the front desk but reported a lack of follow-up from the staff. Gross described feeling both shocked and frustrated by the resort's response, stating that it affected their visit to Disney World the following day. He later confronted management in the lobby, expressing his anger over the situation. After three weeks, the resort offered him $1,300, contingent on not discussing the incident publicly, which he declined. Gross took his daughter for medical testing following the incident. A spokesperson for Holiday Inn Club Vacations acknowledged the situation and stated that it was being addressed internally, but could not comment on specific guest matters.
