<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Rep. <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/jasmine-crockett/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Jasmine Crockett </a>(D-TX) was in <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/virginia/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Virginia</a> this week to campaign for Rep. <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/campaigns/congressional/4688151/republican-virginia-7th-district-flip-democratic-seat/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Eugene Vindman</a> (D-VA) in the 7th Congressional District as she remains off the <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/texas/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Texas</a> Senate campaign trail.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Crockett, who ran for Texas Senate in 2026 but lost in the Democratic primary to State Rep. <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/james-talarico/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">James Talarico</a>, had previously <a href="https://x.com/JasmineForUS/status/2104995321088520246?s=20" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">backed Talarico</a> in his race against Republican state Attorney General <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/ken-paxton/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ken Paxton</a>. However, she has <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/campaigns/congressional/4704280/jasmine-crockett-not-campaigning-james-talarico-texas-senate-race/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">not yet campaigned with</a> the Democratic Senate nominee in Texas. Instead, Crockett has <a href="https://www.dallasnews.com/news/politics/article/jasmine-crockett-campaigns-colin-allred-22249852.php" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">campaigned</a> for downballot U.S. House candidates in Texas and is now focusing on out-of-state marginal districts, including Vindman’s.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“It was great to have Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett in VA-07 getting folks ready to turn out and vote this November! Awesome turnout and even better energy,” Vindman wrote <a href="https://x.com/YVindman/status/2107837546696958333?s=20" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">on X</a> Wednesday, following her get-out-the-vote and fundraising efforts in the district.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Vindman noted that the two candidates <a href="https://x.com/YVindman/status/2107531258192707769?s=20" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">went</a> to church together and held a <a href="https://x.com/YVindman/status/2107594099356508402?s=20" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">lunch</a> with leaders and members of local historically Black fraternities and sororities.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Virginia’s 7th district is categorized as a <a href="https://www.cookpolitical.com/house/race/485466" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">likely Democratic</a> district by the Cook Political Report, due to Gov. <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/abigail-spanberger/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Abigail Spanberger’s</a> (D-VA) significant margin in the area in 2025 and Vindman’s current $5.7 million <a href="https://x.com/YVindman/status/2107827986518982960?s=20" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">fundraising</a>. However, the district has shifted slightly toward Republicans, and the Virginia GOP <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/campaigns/congressional/4688151/republican-virginia-7th-district-flip-democratic-seat/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">sees an opportunity for a flip</a> with retired Army lieutenant colonel and Republican nominee Doug Ollivant. Crockett is among several Democratic Party figures who have recently campaigned in the district, following Gov. <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/wes-moore/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Wes Moore</a> (D-MD), who <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/campaigns/congressional/4746872/wes-moore-virginia-stump-democrats-house-midterm-elections/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">campaigned for Vindman</a> last week.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Crockett established her own PAC, called the FIRE PAC (Fueling Individual Rights Everywhere), earlier this year and has endorsed numerous candidates in Texas and other states. Her PAC has stated that it supports candidates who have “demonstrated people-first leadership, held firm against injustice, and are working to reshape politics.” As of Wednesday afternoon, the published list of endorsements <a href="https://www.thefirepac.com/endorsements" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">did not include Talarico</a> or Vindman.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Outside of Texas, her FIRE PAC endorsed three candidates in <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/california/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">California</a>, including Democratic gubernatorial nominee <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/xavier-becerra/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Xavier Becerra</a>, and Stacey Plaskett in the U.S. Virgin Islands.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“I support all Democrats. Yes, that includes James Talarico, who I endorsed the day after the election,” Crockett <a href="https://x.com/birenbomb/status/2107191861454463007?s=20" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">said</a> in early October, though she has not yet campaigned with him.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The <em>Washington Examiner</em> has reached out to Crockett for comment.</p>
