Advisor Warns Trump Deal Could Benefit Iranian Regime

An advisor to Iran’s exiled crown prince, Cameron Khansarinia, expressed concerns on Sunday that a potential peace deal between President Donald Trump and the Iranian regime could serve as a "lifeline" for Tehran. Khansarinia, who is the chief of staff to exiled Prince Reza Pahlavi, criticized the Iranian government and its proxies for decades of oppression during an appearance on "Sunday Morning Futures." He stated that many Iranians are "nervous" about the possibility of the regime receiving support through a deal, which he believes they would not honor. Khansarinia emphasized that any agreement made by the current regime would be considered illegitimate by the Iranian people, who seek complete freedom. He noted that the regime has a history of dishonesty in negotiations. President Trump, on the same day, described the negotiations with Iran as "orderly and constructive" but maintained a hardline stance, stating that sanctions would remain until a certified agreement is reached. A senior administration official indicated that the U.S. might consider significant concessions on sanctions if Iran reciprocates regarding enriched uranium. Khansarinia warned that the region is at a critical decision point regarding the future of the Iranian regime.
