Two family members of Virginia Giuffre, a victim of Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking, criticized Rep. Jeff Crank (R-CO) on Monday for his previous votes regarding the Epstein files in Congress.

Giuffre's brother, Sky Roberts, and her sister-in-law, Amanda Roberts, targeted Crank in a new advertisement released by Jessica Killin, who is campaigning to replace him.

“Our own congressman, Jeff Crank, refused to meet with us,” Amanda Roberts stated. “Then, when he had the chance to expose the truth and release the Epstein files, he repeatedly voted to cover them up.”

“Virginia deserved better,” Sky Roberts added. “Jeff Crank covered up Epstein’s crimes to protect Donald Trump. He has no business being in Congress.”

Giuffre died by suicide in April 2025 after years of advocating against Epstein’s crimes, which contributed to the exposure of the financier’s sex trafficking ring. Since her death, her family members have been vocal on her behalf.

Hours after the advertisement was released, the couple held a press conference to endorse Killin for Congress.

“Today, Congressman Crank still hasn’t reached out to us. He still hasn’t signed the second discharge petition to release the files,” Sky Roberts said, referring to the discharge petition announced last month by Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY).

“But one person did reach out: Jessica Killin,” he continued. “She sat at our table. She listened. She felt our grief and our anger, and she also saw our hope.”

Crank is seeking a second term as representative of Colorado’s 5th Congressional District, while Killin aims to challenge his reelection efforts. The latest poll, sponsored by Killin, indicates Crank holds a 1-point lead over the Democratic challenger. However, Killin remains optimistic about her chances after Sabato’s Crystal Ball moved the race designation from “Likely Republican” to “Lean Republican” in September.

Now she is campaigning with the backing of relatives of a prominent Epstein victim.

“Whatever side of the aisle you’re on, this is about whether we believe the people we love when they finally find the courage to speak,” Sky Roberts said in support of Killin. “Jessica Killin chose to listen. I’m proud to stand with her, and I hope to call her my representative.”

President Donald Trump has endorsed Crank for reelection, which may lead Killin’s campaign to connect the Trump-backed candidate to his legislative actions regarding the Epstein files ahead of the midterm elections.

Last year, Crank did not sign the first discharge petition that prompted a vote on the release of the Epstein files and voted against the Epstein Files Transparency Act. However, he later voted to approve the bill after Trump encouraged House Republicans to support it. Crank has not signed the second discharge petition.

“It is deeply unfortunate that Washington lobbyist Jessica Killin is preying on a grieving family with the help of the Washington Democrats,” a spokesperson for Crank stated.

Killin criticized Crank’s staff after a congressional reporter obtained text messages showing the congressman’s office laughing at a meeting request made by Sky and Amanda Roberts last year.

“This is no way to treat your constituents,” Killin said, “let alone the family of an Epstein survivor.”
