Kim Kardashian Discusses Managing North West's Pursuit of Fame

Kim Kardashian acknowledged that her eldest daughter, North West, enjoys being in the spotlight. In an interview with the Sunday Times published on October 4, 2026, Kardashian expressed concerns about the impact of her fame on her children, noting that North, 13, has shown a greater interest in public appearances compared to her siblings. Kardashian, who shares North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm with her ex-husband Kanye West, stated, "Each kid does what they’re comfortable with. So, my little ones come around when I’m filming but they don’t really do storylines." She mentioned that she has to limit North's opportunities, saying, "All she wants to do is forward-facing projects," and emphasized the importance of managing these experiences carefully. Kardashian and West are reportedly in agreement regarding North's projects, which have included releasing her EP, "N0rth4evr," in May and appearing on the cover of "Dazed" magazine in September. Kardashian described herself as an "intermediate-strict parent," highlighting her patience and involvement in her children's lives. She and West attended North's first solo concert at the Vic Theatre in Chicago last month, although they maintained distance from each other during the event. North had previously canceled a planned 14-stop tour with rapper Molly Santana in July, shortly before it was set to begin. In her interview with Dazed magazine, North stated that she believes in pursuing her music career without delay, asserting, "It’s like, nah, this is my hobby, this is what I like to do, this is what I wanna do with my life." She also addressed her unique style, which includes faux piercings and face tattoos, stating, "Everyone’s in love with boys, vaping and doing all kinds of bad stuff. All I want is blue hair and piercings."
