Trump Announces Creation of 'Super Intelligence Force' for AI Development

<p>President Donald Trump announced on October 1, 2026, the establishment of a new federal entity called the "Super Intelligence Force" (SIF) aimed at coordinating efforts to maintain the United States' leadership in artificial intelligence technology.</p><p>According to Trump, the SIF will work with consumers, public-interest groups, religious organizations, critical infrastructure providers, and technology companies. He shared this information in a post on Truth Social.</p><p>Trump stated, "The Super Intelligence Force is tasked with coordinating the effort of the Federal Government to ensure that America continues to lead the World in Super Intelligence."</p><p>He described the technology as being "bigger than the Industrial Revolution, and the Internet," and emphasized that it would "protect the interests, and improve the lives, of all Americans." The initiative will be overseen by senior administration officials and will report directly to Trump and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles.</p><p>Last week, Trump officially renamed artificial intelligence to "Super Intelligence" across the executive branch after a summit with technology leaders at the White House. He noted that the tech executives signed a document he referred to as the White House Accord on Super Intelligence, which he described as a "morally binding" agreement.</p><p>Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg commented on the summit, stating that it represented a "significant positive step" as leaders of major American labs committed to implementing internal controls and audits.</p><p>Fox Business' Sophia Compton contributed to this report.</p>
