A drone strike by Israeli forces has killed a Palestinian man and injured several others in southern Gaza. The incident occurred on Thursday in the al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis, where the body of 42-year-old Tamer al-Hamayda and three wounded individuals were taken to Nasser Medical Complex. This strike is part of ongoing violence in the region, with the Gaza Health Ministry reporting that since the ceasefire began in October 2025, there have been 1,439 deaths and 5,052 injuries in Gaza. Additionally, another Palestinian succumbed to injuries from a previous drone strike that targeted a gathering in Jabalia refugee camp earlier in the week.
Israeli forces also conducted a demolition operation targeting buildings in the al-Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City. The Gaza Health Ministry stated that the total death toll in Gaza since the conflict escalated in October 2023 has reached at least 74,040, with 175,168 injuries reported.
In the occupied West Bank, a Palestinian man was shot dead by Israeli settlers during a raid on the village of Yasuf, north of Ramallah. The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the victim as 51-year-old Mashhour Yassin. Reports indicate that Yassin was shot while attempting to defend his home during an attack by armed settlers. The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the incident, asserting that it reflects a pattern of coordinated violence between settlers and Israeli forces.
Yasuf Mayor Jumaa Abdel Fattah reported that the attack involved dozens of settlers armed with sticks and firearms. He noted that Yassin's nephew was also injured in the assault. The village of Yasuf is situated near several Israeli settlements, including Havat Anton, which has a history of violence against local residents. The UN has reported that at least 1,112 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since October 2023, including at least 37 fatalities attributed to settlers.
