Joy Behar Misses 'The View' Due to Shoulder Injury

She left the show in 2013 but returned two years later.</p><p>This is not the first time Behar has faced an injury that affected her appearances. In 2025, a foot injury kept her off the show for several episodes. Upon her return on November 14, she humorously explained, “So I dropped my iPad on my foot, and I broke my toe. It’s very, very, very painful. I cannot recommend dropping anything on your toe.”</p><p>Behar, who married Steve Janowitz in 2011 after 29 years of dating, has one daughter, Eve, 55, from her previous marriage to Joe Behar.</p><p>Additionally, co-host Whoopi Goldberg was also absent from the October 1 episode due to filming for an upcoming movie. Goldberg is set to star in the Netflix comedy <i>Women Like Us</i>, alongside Jenifer Lewis, Vanessa Williams, and Vivica A. Fox.</p><p>The timeline for the return of both hosts to the show has not been specified.</p>
