Caitlin Clark's performance in the Indiana Fever's Game 2 victory over the Las Vegas Aces had a significant impact on her physical state. "To be honest, I threw up everything in my stomach at halftime," Clark stated in an interview with Prime Video after the game. She clarified that her condition was due to exhaustion rather than illness, saying, "I was just out there so tired. It wasn’t because I didn’t feel good or anything. I just was that gassed."
In the game, Clark scored 27 points, contributed 15 assists, and grabbed seven rebounds, leading the Fever to a 99-89 win. She humorously suggested, "Let’s throw up again at halftime of the next game," as the Fever prepare for the decisive Game 3 against the Aces.
Clark explained her experience further, noting, "Yeah, that is gross. I think I was just really tired, and then sometimes I drink too much water." She described the incident as involving "an incredible amount of throw-up" and expressed her apologies to anyone nearby.
With her performance, Clark made history as the first player in WNBA history to achieve at least 25 points and 15 assists in a game. She also commented on the Fever's improved toughness in Game 2, stating, "I thought that we were just soft in Game 1 and I thought tonight we just played a lot tougher. Just really proud of this group."
The game featured some controversy, including a technical foul issued to A’ja Wilson following an interaction with a Fever fan. Game 3 is scheduled to take place on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas.
