Rep. Jasmine Crockett Faces Criticism Over Endorsement Choices

<p>Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, received criticism from former colleague Susan Wild for omitting James Talarico, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Texas, from her endorsement list released on Monday. Talarico, who defeated Crockett in the party’s Senate primary earlier this year, was not included among the 14 candidates endorsed by Crockett’s Feuling Individual Rights Everywhere (FIRE) PAC. Wild stated that this omission indicates Crockett is prioritizing personal issues over the party’s success in Texas.</p><p>"F*** her. That’s all I can say. And that statement has nothing to do with blind loyalty to Dems," Wild said in a post on X. "It has everything to do with her being a narcissistic drama queen who has used her platform (such as it is) only to advance herself. Karma will suck."</p><p>This incident adds to the controversies surrounding Crockett, a progressive figure known for her outspoken rhetoric. Previously, she has faced backlash for comments regarding Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, and MAGA Latino voters. Most recently, she was criticized for honoring singer Chris Brown in congressional records despite his history of violence against women.</p><p>Crockett responded to Wild and others, emphasizing that she had personally congratulated Talarico after his primary victory. "Y’all are corny! Keep receipts. I’ll be happy when people either give a damn about FACTS or news media goes back to the news instead of deciding to ride the tabloid lane. NOW FOR THE 1000th time maybe write an article about KEN F*in PAXTON. Y’all sound like corny groupies," Crockett wrote.</p><p>Crockett lost to Talarico in the primary, with the final vote tally being 52.4% to 46.2%. She endorsed Talarico the day after the election results were confirmed, stating, "This morning I called James and congratulated him on becoming the Senate nominee. Texas is primed to turn blue, and we must remain united because this is bigger than any one person. This is about the future of all 30 million Texans and getting America back on track. With the primary behind us, Democrats must rally around our nominees and win."</p><p>Crockett also mentioned her commitment to supporting Democratic candidates across the board. Notably, her FIRE PAC has raised $144,960 and primarily focuses on smaller races. Candidates listed in her recent endorsement post are mostly state or local figures, and gubernatorial candidate Gina Hinojosa was also not included.</p><p>Representatives for Crockett did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.</p>
