Michigan Senate Candidate Abdul El-Sayed Discusses Potential Appearance on Bill Maher's Show

<p>Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed expressed interest in appearing on comedian Bill Maher's show during an interview with former NBC News host Chuck Todd on Friday. El-Sayed stated that he would want to confront Maher regarding his previous comments about Islam, which he described as "terrible."</p><p>In the interview on "Noosphere," El-Sayed mentioned his willingness to appear on Maher or Joe Rogan's shows to engage with their audiences, despite their views. He specifically noted that he would like to see Maher face criticism from a Muslim perspective.</p><p>El-Sayed said, "You know how many terrible things Bill Maher has said about people like me? Terrible, awful things. Of course, he's still got his show on Comedy Central, and everybody seems to be perfectly okay going on that show despite the fact that he said deeply terrible things." He added, "I wanna give people the image of watching him get his a-- whooped on his own show by a guy who prays like I do."</p><p>Bill Maher responded to El-Sayed's comments on his show, inviting him to appear on "Real Time." Maher stated, "It’s not people like you, I would love to have you on, sir, by the way. And I hope we can make that happen." Rogers dismissed El-Sayed's comments as "unserious" and emphasized the importance of focusing on real election issues.</p>
