Shooting at Detroit strip club results in 3 fatalities and 4 injuries

Three people were killed and four others injured following a shooting at an after-hours strip club in Detroit on Sunday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 7:21 a.m. on a residential street, according to Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison, who provided details during a news conference. Police found three men who had been fatally shot at the scene. Four additional victims, identified as two men and two women, were transported to local hospitals in private vehicles. All victims are believed to be in their 20s and 30s. Chief Bettison stated that the shooting stemmed from an argument that escalated into gunfire. He noted that the police department had received seven calls related to this address in the current year. While he mentioned that there are leads in the investigation, he did not disclose further information. Bettison characterized the location as an after-hours venue. Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield called on the community to assist authorities with information regarding the incident. She expressed concern over the violence, stating, "It’s heartbreaking and our community should not suffer from this type of violence."
