Ana Navarro Critiques Judge Judy's Comments on Criticism of America

Go there.” She did not specify whom she was addressing.</p><img alt="Sheindlin didn't clarify whom she meant when she said people who don't like America should " src="https://thedailybeast-thedailybeast-prod.web.arc-cdn.net/resizer/v2/3WG3BVSU65CVTP5IIHMUZGWMZI.jpg?auth=4db29fae5b96e822a3ab6679ee3c5ca893f78d059145ce3264dde599f1391b76&amp;smart=true&amp;width=3000&amp;height=2000" /><p>Navarro expressed her disagreement, stating, “I take umbrage at what she said, and I don’t like it at all,” following a clip of the interview being shown on the show.</p><p>“It’s said to me a lot of times on social media because I criticize Donald Trump and the government,” Navarro added. “I think we can distinguish between not loving the current government and liking America.”</p><p>Co-hosts Joy Behar and Sara Haines offered differing interpretations, suggesting that Sheindlin’s comments were not necessarily aligned with MAGA’s anti-immigrant rhetoric. Haines interpreted Sheindlin’s statement as implying that those who wish to change fundamental ideas should consider leaving.</p><p>Navarro countered, “The person that should leave is Donald Trump!”</p><p>Behar maintained that Sheindlin was not suggesting that dissenters should leave the country. Navarro disagreed, asserting that she perceived a MAGA message in Sheindlin’s comments.</p><p>Hostin supported Navarro's view, stating that she heard the MAGA undertones in Sheindlin’s remarks. Navarro emphasized her commitment to calling out perceived injustices, stating, “For me, because I love America, I have the duty and responsibility to call out the grift and the cruelty and the racism and the abuses of power and the anti-American actions that he is taking on a daily basis.” She concluded, “If you want things to change in the government, you stay, you fight, you vote, you organize, and you are part of the change.”</p><img alt="" src="https://thedailybeast-thedailybeast-prod.web.arc-cdn.net/resizer/v2/UMCC3EDY5ZKTROUB6RCFNCPHJA.jpg?auth=4220cdad2f22dd34d536dc8712c680e846f2a0f08a0a1d17efe89f8470c23ecd&amp;smart=true&amp;width=1764&amp;height=992" /><p>Sheindlin also mentioned to USA Today that she has refrained from endorsing candidates since her support for Michael Bloomberg in 2019 and Nikki Haley in 2024, describing politics as a “disgusting business.” She had previously stated during her campaign for Haley that Trump should not serve a second term.</p><p>Despite her criticisms of Trump, she referred to his hush money trial as “<a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/judge-judy-sheindlin-trump-conviction-b2566761.html" rel="">nonsense</a>” in an interview with CNN’s Chris Wallace. Sheindlin argued that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg “had to twist himself into a pretzel to figure out what the crime was,” suggesting a bias against Trump.
