Judge Dismisses Lawsuits Against Cloudflare CEO's Mansion Plans in Park City

A judge has dismissed two lawsuits challenging the plans of Matthew Prince, co-founder and CEO of cybersecurity company Cloudflare, for a large mansion in Park City, Utah. The lawsuits were dismissed by Third District Court Judge Richard Mrazik on September 25, 2026, ruling that a consent agreement approved by the Park City Council had superseded the land-use decisions being contested. Prince, who has an estimated net worth of $8.3 billion, purchased the King Road property in 2020 and has sought to replace two existing homes with a new residence. The proposed mansion is described as an 11,000 square foot structure with approximately 7,500 square feet of living space. The Hermanns, neighbors of Prince, have been involved in a legal dispute regarding the project, claiming that the city could not use the consent agreement to bypass their independent legal claims. They have filed a separate lawsuit challenging the agreement itself. The ongoing feud has included allegations from Prince regarding the Hermanns' two Bernese mountain dogs, which he accused of trespassing and threatening his family. The Hermanns have denied these allegations and have received local support, with residents displaying 'Save Sasha and Mocha' stickers in the area. The next court date for the remaining lawsuit is scheduled for December 29, 2026.
