Jalen Brunson Cleared to Participate in Knicks Training Camp Following Surgery

Jalen Brunson provided an injury update during his live podcast on Thursday, stating that he has been fully cleared to participate in the New York Knicks' training camp. Brunson underwent surgery on his left shooting wrist in early July to repair a tendon issue. He played through the injury during the playoffs and was named NBA Finals MVP. The Knicks' training camp is set to begin on Tuesday in Tarrytown. "I was told that I am cleared," Brunson said regarding his ability to play five-on-five. The announcement was met with "MVP" chants from the crowd at Icahn Stadium in Randall’s Island, where Brunson and teammate Josh Hart hosted their third annual Roommates Show Block Party. The event featured guests including Jose Alvarado, Landry Shamet, and filmmaker Spike Lee, and highlighted the Knicks' recent championship win. Alvarado and Shamet also discussed their recent contract re-signings with the Knicks, with Alvarado signing a three-year, $14 million deal and Shamet agreeing to a four-year, $24 million contract. The popularity of the Roommates Show podcast has led to an increase in demand for the block party, which was held at a larger venue this year. Ticket prices for the event ranged from $135 for standing-room-only to $600 for VIP access. Brunson also mentioned that he will be hosting "Saturday Night Live" this weekend.
